My Raspberry Pi 5 Arrived today

I know, you’re probably saying “big deal” they have been around for a ages. They have, but I’ve been a bit busy, unwell, the car broke down, the dog had to go to the vet, blah blah blah… yeah alright, OK, I’ve just been slack.

Now the blah, blah blah is out of the way, lets focus on the fact that I finally have a Raspberry Pi 5 (yay!). I ordered the whole package from Core Electronics and received it the next day, that’s really good service right!

This is how the package arrived, very well protected.

Please note: I have no affiliation with Core Electronics. I have purchased from them many times over the years and have always received great service and competitive pricing.

What am I going to do with all this good stuff?

Well, I’m going to start with a “headerless setup” with perhaps a motion sensor controlling GPIO pin and sending email.

I have not worked with python on Raspberry Pi for a while now and am very much looking forward to getting into again, I have missed it.

You all know what it’s like when new toys arrive, the ideas for new projects just explode in your head. You want to try this and this and maybe this… The only problem is getting the time to bring them all to reality.

So, now I’m off to have some fun, I’m just going to leave you with another picture of the goodies.
